Greetings. I have been busy at work on the LCP09... (wow odd to hear me say that). I will give a progress report in a little bit. But first..
I saw this over while I was reading The Shrine of the Holy Whapping. It's some sketches and some picture of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Farragut, Tenn. Have to say that over all I am impressed with building. It's a shame I can't travel much right now but that would be once parish I would have to see in person.
In order to be able to do this project year after year.. I have to take the time to study Catholic buildings in order to get an idea of what I can do. I love the variety that Catholic parishes offer. I've been to many cool places in my life time. Most of them in the greater Michigan area. So seeing this kind of stuff gets me out right excited.
Now on for the progress report.
I'm about at this point.. about 30% finished overall. I've installed all the floors, all the doors have been located. Most of the large windows are in place. The big task for the last few days has been putting in the Grand Cross.
The Grand Cross. It is for me, something that is important. Yellow cross in the center, with a red border, followed up by another border of yellow. It had it's first appearance in the 2004/2005 project. In this case it was part of the main back wall. For the next year.. I got challenged by someone from Live Journal and thus I had to tear down the main all and figure out how to put it in the front. The 07 had it in the front, but just the center part. While last year's project and this current one I'm working on will have it in full force. Once again, in the outside back wall.
Though this year is a bit of a trip considering that my back wall is far wider than past projects. This itself could pose a bit of a challenge.
Anyway not much else to report on. I hope you've enjoyed my little commentary. Till Then.
