trying to keep it real..

Have to share this story with you guys because it deals with a store that I have mentioned before here in these pages. A-M Church Supply (Saginaw location). Wens I went over to the supply store to see if I could find a few extra pictures I could add to my infamous project. One of my goals has been to try and make these Lego projects as close to a real parish as I can get. The main fact is that some details cannot be replicated in Lego very easily. I've covered this issue before in previous posts.

I decided that it was high time to add a set of Stations of the Cross. Something that I have never even tried to do before. I was more than overjoyed when I found out A-M had something that would in fact work. Cost me about a buck for two cards.. that had small pictures of each Station. That I had to hand cut out. (a trip and a half). I already knew in advance how they could be placed inside. I had to find some 2x2 flat (no studs) plates. Along with some 1x2 hinged bricks. So once again I was glad that I found some stuff.

The other reason why I was at A-M was to find a picture of a specific saint.

For the record... I have never in the past had a formal name for my projects. Each year is a new build. A chance to start fresh. But I've never had any kind of naming on these works before. As an on going "joke" I would sometimes call them St. John after my name. But sadly that is more generic than it should be.

This year I decided to find a picture of a saint that I am rather fond of.. in this case.. St. Paul. I haven't come up with a full name for this years project. But thankfully now have an idea. Anyway, that's all for now. Till Then.
