a few things...

First off I would like to welcome anyone who has found this place via the Saint Blog group. I just want to make it clear that while it doesn't say it as much as it should, the Lego Church Project is indeed Catholic artwork using the talents that God has given me.

So now I'm starting to get into the part where the first round of sorting is almost finished. I think I have about another hour or so left on that. Keep in mind that is just the two main bins that LCP08 ended up in after I took it down back in early March of this year. I have other 30 gallon bin that I haven't even looked at.

Oddly enough, over the years, I have managed to develop a bit of a system that I use when it comes to building these massive Lego creations. The main task is the sorting. Which I've been covering a lot about in the last few posts. Layout will be next. Followed by the build. That in and of itself will be one of the most intense parts of the Lego Church.

I mean you have to realize right off the bat, I'm the one running the entire show. Once in a while I will have a friend stop by to help me sort out parts. But as far as coming up with the layout, the planning of how things are going to be set in, and even the building of the church itself. That is all done by a single soul. I would be lying if I didn't say this can be a real challenge. But I do enjoy the outcome.

Right now, I'm still making up my mind about what kind of building I want to attempt. I have a few styles that I'm looking at. I was going to wait a bit to start planning the layout.. but if I get into a creative burst you never know what could happen.

Anyway that is all for now. Till then..
